Mumbai: LIC Housing Finance Limited (LIC HFL) marks its 36th Foundation Day, celebrating a remarkable journey of trust, commitment, and excellence in the financial landscape of the country. Since its inception in 1989, LIC HFL has grown to become a leading player in housing finance with a loan book of Rs. 3.07 lakh+ crores and helping over 34 lakh+ families across India achieve their dream of owning a home.
To commemorate this milestone, LIC HFL has announced a Zero Processing Fee offer on all types of individual home loans sanctioned between 1st June and 30th June 2025 for homeowners to take the benefits. As part of the Foundation Day celebrations, LIC HFL has also launched a new brand film that captures the emotional essence of homeownership. Titled ‘Apna Ghar Toh Apna Hi Hota Hai’, the film beautifully portrays relatable moments across Indian households from children freely expressing themselves on walls to families making joyful decor choices highlighting the pride and happiness of owning a home.
Over the past year, LIC Housing Finance has strengthened its commitment to inclusive and affordable housing through key initiatives such as the ‘Apna Ghar, Apni Pehchaan’ campaign for women and the ‘Griha Rakshak’ scheme for defence personnel, both offering zero processing fees. Reinforcing its broader social impact, LIC HFL has contributed over ₹462 crore to CSR efforts, executing more than 380 projects across 26 states and 5 union territories. These programs have directly benefited over 42.27 lakh individuals and indirectly impacted nearly 79.82 lakh people. With a robust presence in 70+ aspirational districts and 100+ blocks, LIC HFL has launched diverse initiatives under flagship programs like HRIDAY (rural development), LIFE (women empowerment), Sujalam (water conservation), Sanjeevani (healthcare), Udhyam (skill development), SATHI and CTH (education), Vidyadhan (scholarships), Nirnayam (scientific research), Sangam (promotion of GI-tagged products), Green Tomorrow (waste management), Charge for Change (renewable energy), and Humanitarian Assistance (Relief Operations during Crises)
