Ahmedabad : The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) hosted its 8th Convocation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 on Saturday at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium Hall, Vastral, Ahmedabad. The ceremony marked an important milestone in the academic journey of 129 graduates who received their degrees across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
The graduating batch included 116 B.Tech graduates, one M.Tech graduate and 12 PhD recipients. Among the B.Tech graduates, five students received Honours degrees, 15 earned Minors degrees and one student received a degree with a microspecialisation. The convocation also marked a significant academic milestone for IITRAM with the graduation of the first batch of Computer Engineering students.
Mr. Patel Om Kalpeshkumar from Computer Engineering was awarded the Chairman’s Medal for the Class of 2026 for securing the highest Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) in the graduating batch. The ceremony also recognised academic excellence across various specialisations, with four Gold Medals and four Silver Medals awarded to toppers.
The Chief Guest for the convocation was Prof. Manoj K. Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, who addressed the graduating students and shared his insights and experience as they prepare to embark on their professional journeys. Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, who holds distinctions including FNAE, FASc, FNASc and FIISE, has served as the Founding Director of IIM Mumbai since August 2023. Prior to this, he served as Director of the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, from 2019 to 2023.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of the graduating students while highlighting IITRAM’s continued focus on education, innovation, research and technology-driven learning. The institution has been working towards developing professionals equipped with technical knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to society and industry.
With 129 students receiving their degrees, the 8th Convocation marked another milestone in IITRAM’s academic journey and celebrated the transition of its graduates from campus life to new opportunities in higher education, research, industry and professional careers.
