New Delhi, November 2, 2026: The Indian Air Force Educational & Cultural Society, under the aegis of Air Headquarters, has onboarded 42 Air Force Schools across the country onto ScrollControl, a comprehensive Child Digital Safety Programme developed through the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) Foundation.

The initiative, launched in observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, aims to strengthen cyber safety awareness and build in-house capabilities to protect schoolchildren from online threats.

As part of the programme, 261 teachers from 42 Air Force Schools have completed certification as Cyber Crime Intervention Officers. The training equips them to respond to incidents involving online grooming and exploitation, misuse of artificial intelligence, gaming-related risks and financial fraud. It also enables them to preserve digital evidence and act as first responders in cybercrime-related situations.

Building a safer digital environment for students

With affordable high-speed internet, smart devices and social media increasingly accessible, school-going children are exposed to digital environments that may not always be designed with their safety in mind.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed affiliated schools to incorporate cyber safety best practices through the monthly observance of Cyber Jagrookta Diwas. The ScrollControl initiative will help Air Force Schools align with this requirement by developing trained in-house cyber safety resources.

Cyber clubs and family awareness initiatives

Through ScrollControl, participating Air Force Schools will be able to establish cyber clubs, certify students in cyber safety, and organise awareness sessions for parents and school staff. The programme will also provide access to an age-appropriate content rating platform for families and enable schools to earn recognition as a Cyber Safe School.

24×7 support for cybercrime-related incidents

The programme also provides for teacher training and certification, empanelment of certified teachers on the National Security Database, and round-the-clock victim support. This support will be delivered through a multidisciplinary network of cyber lawyers, cyber psychologists and forensic experts facilitated by the ISAC Foundation.

The initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening digital awareness and creating a safer online environment for children across the Air Force school network.
