Department of Civil Engineering, IITRAM is organizing a 5-day Short Term Training Programme for practicing engineers from various municipal corporations throughout Gujarat on ‘Training for Road and Bridge Infrastructure’ from November 24 to 28, 2025. This training initiative is supported by the Gujarat Urban Development Institute (GUDI), under the Government of Gujarat.
A comprehensive five-day technical training programme was effectively executed, uniting 37 practicing engineers for a robust capacity-building initiative. The programme explored vital topics such as geotechnical and geosynthetic investigations for roads and bridges, pavement design, and the inspection of existing bridges, alongside construction challenges and techniques for prestressed bridges. Participants enjoyed practical training sessions and site visits, offering them valuable exposure to real-world applications.
A dedicated knowledge-sharing session allowed engineers to exchange expertise and best practices with one another, fostering collaborative learning. The programme concluded with overwhelmingly positive feedback, underscoring its success in enhancing technical skills and professional competence among the participating engineers.
