This program is designed to align educational offerings with the changing demands and standards of the industry. It provides students with crucial theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to the ophthalmic sector, ensuring they are well-prepared to transition smoothly into job-ready positions at Lenskart.
The SureStart Program, initiated by Virohan, provides students with a solid foundation for their careers by bridging the gap between education and employment. This initiative aims to cultivate the next generation of optometrists through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and paid internships at over 2,000 Lenskart stores across India. By merging academic curriculum with real-world experience, SureStart helps students establish stable and rewarding careers, exemplifying job-focused education.
The program presents two unique pathways for aspiring eye care professionals: a 3-year B.Sc. in Ophthalmic Techniques and a 4-year Bachelor of Optometry. The curriculum encompasses essential topics such as ocular pathology, contact lenses, binocular vision, and optometric procedures, ensuring that students are well-prepared for success in their field.

Upon successful completion, students will also be awarded an Award of Excellence, further enhancing their credentials.
