Kolkata : The West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association (WBGMDA) has commenced the 59th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet & B2B Expo at Science City, Kolkata, being held from 5 to 7 January 2026. Spanning nearly 200,000 square feet, the three-day event brings together over 1,000 national and international apparel brands.
Showcasing a wide range of readymade garments for men, women, and children, the expo is expected to generate wholesale business transactions worth around ₹1,500 crore, underlining West Bengal’s growing significance in India’s garment trade.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of state government representatives, senior industry leaders, and office-bearers of WBGMDA. Speaking on the occasion, WBGMDA President Sri Hari Kishan Rathi highlighted the expo’s role in strengthening Kolkata’s position as a key apparel sourcing hub and contributing to employment and economic growth.
WBGMDA Honorary Secretary Sri Devendra Baid noted that the 59th edition focuses on creating an integrated wholesale–retail ecosystem, offering enhanced opportunities for networking, innovation, and large-scale commercial engagement. The expo continues to serve as a key platform for trade collaboration and industry growth in Eastern India.
