Gandhinagar : More than 400 NCC cadets from the Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman and Nicobar Directorates visited Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) on 25 September as part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat National Camp.
The visit offered cadets exposure to RRU’s academic, training and institutional ecosystem, including its specialised laboratories, training facilities, technology-enabled learning spaces and multidisciplinary programmes focused on national security, policing, defence and public safety.
The cadets also explored drone technology, emerging technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship through RRU’s Drone facilities and Atal Incubation Centre. They were introduced to the University’s specialised schools and centres and their role in education, research, innovation and capacity building. The programme also promoted the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, providing cadets from different regions an opportunity for cultural exchange, mutual learning and appreciation of India’s unity in diversity.
The visit was coordinated by 1 Gujarat Battalion NCC in collaboration with RRU’s Extension and Distance Learning Directorate (EDLD) and School of NCC, Police & Martial Music Band (SNPMMB). The interaction highlighted the importance of leadership, discipline, teamwork, innovation and technological preparedness in meeting the evolving requirements of national security, while encouraging young NCC cadets to contribute to nation-building.
